Trusted certification services

The Supervisory Committee of Digital Security oversees and approves the providers of trusted certification services and services that they provide, establish, maintain and publish trust lists in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 182/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council. 910/2014 on electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions in the internal market and repealing Directive 1999/93 / EC (eIDAS Regulation) and the requirements of the Electronic Documents Law.

Certification or trust services are electronic services that, according to the eIDAS Regulation, include:

  • Creation, verification and validation of electronic signatures, electronic seals or electronic time stamps, electronically registered delivery services and certificates relating to the aforesaid services;
  • Creation, verification and validation of website authentication certificates;
  • Creation, verification and validation of website authentication certificates;
    Preservation of electronic signatures, stamps or certificates related to these services.

The Supervisory Committee of Digital Security, in accordance with the provisions of the eIDAS, has qualified “Latvian State Radio and Television Center” and the trust services provided by it - electronic signature, electronic seal and time stamp (see the list of Qualified Trust Service Providers and the qualified trust services provided by them).
