Mechanized Infantry Brigade of the Land Forces' project

This project aims to facilitate the development of capabilities of the Land Force Mechanised Infantry Brigade. It will be implemented in two stages over 2014-2027 period.

In the first stage, Infantry Brigade of Land Forces will receive fully restored Combat Vehicles Reconnaissance (Tracked) (CVR(T)), and vehicles that have been partially restored in Latvia with the assistance of local companies will be delivered in the second stage. First stage of the project has already completed and preparations for the stage two are underway. The necessary infrastructure has also been provided and developed.

Other technologies and systems, such as weapons, communications, command and control systems and fire control systems, support vehicles, ammunition, are also being procured, maintenance of armoured vehicles is being scheduled, personnel and training needs identified.
