Mechanized Infantry Brigade of the Land Forces' project

The aim of the project is to provide capability development of the Mechanized Infantry Brigade of the Land Forces. The implementation period of the project is from 2014 to 2027 and it will be done in two stages.

In the first stage, the Land Forces will be supplied with a capital reconditioned Combat Vehicles Reconnaissance Tracked (CVRT), and in the second phase - without total recapitalization, renovation with the involvement of local Latvian entrepreneurs. The first round of the project has now been fully completed and work on the implementation of the second round is ongoing. The establishment and construction of the necessary infrastructure has also been completed.

The project also includes the purchase of other equipment and systems, including weapons, communications, command and control systems, security transport, ammunition, as well as planned costs for the maintenance of armored vehicles and equipment, personnel, and training.
