On 10th June 2026, the multinational EU Member States‘ Cyber Rapid Respone Team (CRRT) has finished mission in support of Armenia during the parliamentary election. The deployment follows a Request for Support (RfS) from the Information Security Agency Armenia (ISAA).

This was the largest CRRT mission so far, conducted with different team members covering a distinct range of tasks and contributing to other multinational efforts on the ground.

CRRT experts from 8 participating Member States (Belgium, the Netherlands, Croatia, Poland, Romania, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania) were deployed to Yerevan. Latvia was represented by Cyber Incident Response Institution CERT.LV and National Guard Cyber Defense and Electromagnetic Warfare Battalion.

After familiarizing with the IT infrastructure, the teams, together with Armenian counterparts, worked on governmental networks, as well as cyber security situation monitoring during the electoral process.

This support demonstrates the EU’s commitment and CRRT contribution to EU’s support measures to strengthen Armenia’s resilience. It also reflects our collective effort under PESCO to build a more secure and resilient Europe, ensuring no country stands alone in the face of cyber threats.

It enabled member states to showcase their cyber expertise, deepen partner collaboration, and enhance collective readiness to counter cyber incidents under any circumstances.

CRRT remains committed to building up cyber resilience of member states and partners. It remains open for a close cooperation in carrying our preventive measures as well as helping to respond to possible cyber incidents.
