Top defence officials visit Lithuania to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Lithuanian Armed Forces

Defence Minister Raimonds Bergmanis and Major General Ivo Mogiļnijs, Chief of Staff of the National Armed Forces Joint Headquarters, will visit the capital of Lithuania, Vilnius, to take part in events marking the 100 years of Lithuanian Armed Forces on 23-24 November.

Defence Minister Raimonds Bergmanis and Major General Ivo Mogiļnijs will attend the Holy Mass in Vilnius Cathedral and a military parade in honour of the 100year anniversary of Lithuanian Armed Forces.

Latvian Armed Forces will celebrate their 100  year anniversary in 2019. Latvian army was established on the 10th of July 1919, when Separate Brigade and Brigade North Latvia were merged under the leadership of General Dāvis Sīmansons, who became its first commander.
