Replacement of medium-class helicopters
Project is structured in a way that will allow NAF to gradually replace its medium-class Mi-17 helicopters and buy four new UH-60M Black Hawk units. The implementation timeframe is from 2018 and 2027.
Helicopters and different devices that need to be installed on them, various parts and maintenance equipment that will be acquired in scope of the project will also need infrastructure for their parking, maintenance and repairs, and also purchase of materials and technologies for the helicopter repair station and warehouses.
To use the new aircraft platforms with maximums efficiency, one of the important parts of the project will be training and upskilling of personnel – pilots and technicians. Training on how to use sophisticated equipment, and also to maintain the skills acquired through upskilling, regular training will be provided throughout the duration of the project.
NAF already have three UH-60M Black Hawk units and the fourth helicopter will be delivered in 2026 according to plans.
