Grant Programme

Ministry of Defence is announcing its 2023-2024 Military or dual use product development grant competition.

Defence grant competition is managed by the NAF Defence Technology and Innovation Centre (ATIC) since 2023.

To take part in the competition, companies are required to submit project application that meets all requirements specified in competition guidelines. Applicants must send digital copy of application signed with valid digital signature and timestamp via e-mail to atic@mil.lv and valters.lacis@mil.lv, mentioning Grant competition in the Subject line.

Deadline for project applications: 29 February 2024, 17:00. 

Total funding available in 2023-2024 programme is EUR 600 000. Programme priorities:  

• innovative metal fabrication techniques for more durable military equipment/weapons;
• solutions for resilience of military 5G applications;
• anti-drone solutions;
• more nutritional and better ration packs (weight, longer expiry date, locally sourced ingredients, etc.).
